The Slanted Shell Plate is a common coral species. It is a slanted version of the Coral Shell Plate.

Appearance Edit

The Slanted Shell Plate is a group of slanted plate corals arranged close to each other, with a variety of sizes. It is mainly dark green in color.

The giant coral tubes and slanted shell plates appear to be different solutions to the same problem of maximizing water and nutrient flow throughout the colony. Despite external differences these structures are built by very similar organisms on similar principles. Samples are rich in calcium.
