Gun control just really isn't an "acceptable" topic for this wiki. Gun control can be debated in other places, I'm sure there's a wiki out there, but this is just not the place to discuss such a topic.
when i use console commands to spawn any type of Fauna and i'm in the air with freecam they all try to get back up to were i spawned them, is this a bug or a glitch or is it there trying to get back to there territory?, if you need a screenshot just tell me and i'll get it, have a nice day / night
You're not normally supposed to spawn things in so their spawn point is basically where they patrol around, and they keep jumping out of the water because that's where they're trying to get to, but obviously are unable. Not really a bug since it happens with all creatures that are spawned in.
so its to do with their territory? and also, they sometimes when i spawn multiple, they go flying... and also i have steam to, but now the area thing seems a more clear, thanks for the help (steam profile --> My steam profile
All creatures try to stay around their spawn point, this includes spawned creatures. So if you spawn them in the air and they fall down to the water they try to get back to where they were spawned.
Things flying away when you spawn multiple is also normal, since their hitboxes are all colliding and that causes some shenanigans.
Hi I made a post and another user has flagged it for deletion as apparently it should have been a blog and I did it as a page??? I have cleared the post off the page but can't delete it completely could you please do that? I didn't see any blog option so will stay off til I have a brain many thanks
The Title is The real identity of the Precursors?
Okay, fine. I'll leave the name alone. As for the motor, I enjoy small technical details. Realistically, what complicated vehicle wouldn't include an operation manual of the specifications and a list of the means to repair it?
It is not a misprint. All of the entries and related items used to say PRAWN then for whatever reason they went through and changed them to Prawn.
And there's nothing stingy about wanting a wiki page to be factual.
If it's not mentioned in the game or anywhere else, it's not false. False information would be putting something in that's misleading or contradictory to actual game content. This is a small, little-known thing called creativity.
You just made it up.
I could write that the Sea Emperor loves to play chess on Tuesdays and by your logic it's perfectly legitimate and just me being creative since it isn't stated anywhere the Sea Emperor does not play chess on Tuesdays.
But this kind of creativity relates to the article subject. Is it really that hard to understand? Is it really such a problem? Does it change anything about the game itself? No, it doesn't. So stop bellyaching, because it really sounds like you don't enjoy others' thoughts.
Creativity and being interested in the subject matter are wonderful things, but this is a wiki, and people come to this wiki for information about the game, not for fans' creative ideas. Wikis are run with strict admins like Bippity and Thunder because if they have any incorrect or misleading information then it can confuse someone looking for information. It's small, but it makes a difference. We want the wiki to be the best source of information about Subnautica, and that means keeping out any information that doesn't appear in the game. You had a cool idea for some fun details about the Seamoth, and that's great, but there's a chance that someone could see it and think "Huh, I've never seen that in game. Maybe I missed something." which would lead to a real world problem. The admins are not cruel, and they are not singling you out for your ideas. Their job is to keep this wiki an esteemed info source, and that means they delete edits and roll back changes all the time. If you have ideas of what kind of content should be in the game, then you should make a blog post, forum thread, or even submit it as feedback in game; but we can't just add whatever we want to factual articles because we think it's interesting.
You don't think that putting in some sort of history, in-game or not, might make the article subject that much more interesting? Or even more immersing? You don't think it would make that particular article subject more relatable?
And the wiki description specifically says "for fans by fans." Don't tell me that doesn't imply fans' input and necessary changes to the pages. Even if it's not mentioned in-game, it can still be relevant.
And back to the disagreement that started this mess, I'm pretty sure that the in-game spelling of the Prawn is a tiny bug in the coding. For actuality, simply retain the proper designation of "PRAWN" for the mech. I know that's not how it is in-game, but that doesn't make it wrong. The name is an abbreviation, after all.
I read about the Arctic Landmass being visisble from space. No image exists on the Arctic Biome page, and I am unable to edit that page. Would you be so kind as to add this image to the page? If it's been done and removed before then my apologies, I was unaware, but if not, please do.
I have found an island behind the aurora I havent seen anyone post about it so I wanted to create a wiki page about it so others know it exists its loacted at (1284,48,-319) unless some one else have found it and im dumb :P
I've tried before to create a page for it. As much as I believe it should have one, Bippity is in charge and decided to remove it, I can see why. It does lack many qualities that a Biome would have. Still, we all know of it's presence, and I personally was most thrilled when I discovered it like you, but yes we've all known of it for a while.
I was wondering, now that we have some confirmed future content with the arctic biome, should we create a link on the wiki's front page to possible/confirmed upcoming features? Or perhaps wait until there's more of it?
Hoi there, just wanted to say that I may be contributing scientific biological data to more of the articles on flora and fauna. Bored biologist speaking, I really enjoy explaining these creatures! Please talk back to me if you have anything to say about this.
The complexity of a power grid that sustains a Cyclops would need to be extremely complex in order to support all of the energy needs that are used by onboard devices, and the amount of power being emmited from 6 powercells. Technically, the amount of power dished out by 6 cells in game should be equivalent to about 60 lithium-ion batteries, than the Ampeel's shock alonsgside with that amount already in the grid, thereby exceeding 1mega-ampere, should overload the system. Just saying, not pissed. I had a longer explanation bur accidentaly deleted it, but about sums it up.
Just saw that you deleted the multiple embryo theory. It says in the description of my changes that it happens in real life in some species, so there is no need to negate my work. I'm sorry bippity, but I'm trying to contribute to the community in the best way I know how, and can, damnit. And if you manage to develop a problem with this statement and ban me or some crap, feel free to do so. Just know I assure you I know what I'm doing....
You can see the embryo. There only appears to be one embryo in there.
I don't have any issues with what you're doing. I just prefer it to be more accurate to what is in game. You can only see one embryo within the egg so why would you theorise that there are multiple?
