The Red Eyeye is a passive fauna species and close relative of the Eyeye. It is found in the Inactive Lava Zone and Lava Lakes.

Appearance

The Red Eyeye is identical to an Eyeye in all aspects aside from coloration:

• Its singular eye possesses a dull orange sclera and an intense red, orange, and yellow iris surrounding its black pupil.
• Its body is mostly dark a green-yellow color, and possesses blue markings.
• Its fins emit bright orange bioluminescent glows.

Behavior

The Red Eyeye, much like its relative, is a slow swimmer. It gently glides aimlessly through the vast space of the Inactive Lava Zone.

Upon noticing the player, the Red Eyeye will start to swim away slowly.

Like its relative, the Red Eyeye will be 'bullied' by other creatures in the area.

A small herbivorous creature with poor maneuverability, evolved to inhabit high temperature environments. 1. Thermal Camouflage: Deep red and orange coloration enables this subspecies to blend into volcanic environments and reflect environmental thermal energy, thus rendering it almost invisible to most predators. 2. Thermal Vision: Delicate, light-based eyesight is impractical at these temperatures, and the red eyeye has developed thermal vision in its place. In this species' volcanic domain edible plant matter and potential predators are the coldest entities in range. Assessment: Edible (low calorie count)
